Tips for using Turbo October 28, 2026 22:20 Updated Use this guide to help optimize Turbo prompts and help with editing Turbo videos. Prompting TipsEditing TipsPrompting TipsPresetsPresets help with some of the guidance for the video behind the scenes. Try to find something that matches well with your video goals. Presets guide the video towards: Audience type Avatars (in or out of the video) Video length Tone of voice, Video goal Use of images of video clips If you have specific requirements for images, include them in your prompt or review them in the project brief. For video clips, “Use all video clips” or “This video doesn’t require an avatar” If you don’t select a preset it will auto default to a “general explainer”. AvatarsTurbo’s strength for lip-sync is with single-avatar narration for now, (working on improving conversations down the line!)Use CasesTurbo’s also great at making videos for: Explainers Summarizing long documents Breaking down hard-to-grasp concepts into easy imagery Storytelling (try the cinematic preset) Making an ad from 1-pager You can upload a picture of a product, character, or visual style, as a visual reference and ask Turbo to use it across the videoSometimes Turbo wants you to say “Create a video about…” rather than just being given a topic or demand/request. (We’re working on it!) Editing TipsTurbo makes some assumptions so that it can get you to the end faster, but you can update things! Once it’s finished with the project brief, scroll down to the section to review things to get a quick summary of things to check.Turbo works faster doing bulk edits/all in one go, so when you have a few things you’d like it to update you can use shift+return to line break and add more.StoryboardIf you want to save credits, you can specify to only include images rather than video clips for each scene. You can see the tags for how each piece of content will be generated in the storyboard: Video clip - The generated content will be a video clip. On-screen presenter - The generated content will have an avatar on-screen presenter. Graphics - This is moving text and text boxes on screen. Image - This will generate an image. Storyboard: If you want to update something specific about an image, you can: Write in “In Scene 1: Update the _____” Or get specific: Hover over the image and on the bottom right you can copy the image prompt into your edit chat area, and edit the text to update the specific changes you wish to see. Once you’ve generated a video, if you want to edit a specific time frame, when you are looking at the video timeline you can select the “Edit scene” button just above the specific time to copy that time into the chat area.
