Grouping Assets January 22, 2025 17:35 Updated Grouping makes applying effects to multiple assets, applying motion paths, and rearranging on the stage a breeze. Update- Vyond now supports two layer grouping, which means cropped and masked assets can now be grouped and edited within the group! This article covers: How to Group Assets Editing Groups How to Group Assets 1. Select an asset on the stage. In the example below, the sitting character is selected. 2. Hold down the Shift key and select another asset on the stage. Alternatively, click and drag your cursor over multiple assets in a scene to select them. In the example below, the sitting character and chair are selected. 3. Right-click on the assets to open a contextual menu. From the menu select Group. Alternatively, use Cmd/Ctrl + G to group the selected assets. 4. Ungroup assets by follow the same directions above and selecting Ungroup instead. Alternatively, select the grouped assets on the stage and use Cmd/Ctrl + G to remove the grouping. Editing Groups 1. Double-click the group on the stage to open group editing mode, or right-click on the group and select Edit Group from the menu. 2. When editing groups, assets can be freely rearranged and be fully edited. 3. Adjust the cropping/mask for grouped assets by double-clicking on them while editing the group. First double-click opens group editing mode and the asset clicked on is selected. In group editing mode, double-click on a cropped or masked asset to further edit their cropping/mask. 4. Double-click on any of the gray areas on the side of the stage to exit group editing mode. Note: Assets must not have any effects prior to grouping.
