Custom Color Palettes March 31, 2025 17:42 Updated This feature is available to Vyond for Agency and Vyond for Enterprise users. Save specific colors to a custom palette in the Vyond Studio. This feature helps users easily maintain consistent brand imaging across all videos they create. Creating a Color Palette for the First Time Adding Colors to a Palette & Creating a New Palette Removing Colors from Palette Editing Colors in a Palette Deleting and Renaming a Palette Adding a Palette to a Collection Finding the Right Color Creating a Color Palette for the First Time Note: If you do not see the "Create Palette" option in your account but do see palettes present, please follow these steps. 1. Open the Color panel in the toolbar. If this option is not displayed, please click anywhere outside the stage to deselect assets. 2. Open the Palettes tab. 3. Click Create Palette to start a new custom palette. 4. Name your palette. Adding Colors to a Palette & Creating a New Palette If you have already created a palette, or if a Brand Kit palette is present in your account, the option to Create Palette will not show in the Palettes tab. Right-clicking on a color swatch in the Color panel will give users the option to add the color to an existing palette, or create a new palette. 1. Choose a color in the Colors tab. 2. Right-click on the corresponding color swatch to bring up a contextual menu. 3. Select Add to Palette from the menu. Either choose an existing palette to add the color to, or select Create new palette. 4. If creating a new palette, you will need to name your palette and click Create. 5. A message will appear at the bottom of the timeline confirming a color was added to the palette. Removing Colors from a Palette 1. Open the Color panel in the toolbar. 2. Open the Palettes tab. 3. Scroll to find your palette, hover your cursor over the color swatch you want to remove, and click the X that appears. 4. Confirm the deletion by selecting Remove in the popup window. Editing Colors in a Palette 1. Open the Color panel in the toolbar. 2. Open the Palettes tab. 3. Right-click on any color swatch in a palette to bring up a menu. 4. Select Edit color to bring up a smaller color panel that can be used to edit the selected color. 5. Selecting a color in the small color panel will replace the color that was selected from the palette. Deleting and Renaming a Palette 1. Open the Color panel in the toolbar. 2. Open the Palettes tab. 3. Hover your cursor to the right of the palette to show the More menu. 4. Within the More menu, users will have the option to either rename the palette, add the palette to a Collection, or delete the palette. Adding a Palette to a Collection A palette is able to be added to a Collection to allow for use of the Color Shuffler. 1. Open the Color panel in the toolbar. 2. Open the Palettes tab. 3. Hover your cursor to the right of the palette to show the More menu. 4. Select Add to Collection from the More menu. Select an existing Collection to add the palette to, or create a new Collection. 5. Once added, the color palette will display at the top of the Collection. Finding the Right Color Besides picking already established colors in Vyond, users have the following options to generate their branded colors to store in a palette. Create a color using: The color map HEX/RGB codes The eyedropper tool If you have an image with colors you would like to add to your palette, use the Color Palette Detection tool.
