We have added HeyGen avatars to Vyond to provide over 1,100 avatars options in addition with Tavus avatars. There will be an enormous selection of backgrounds, outfits, professions, angles, and aspect ratios to choose from.

Create AI Avatars in Vyond Studio

1. Browse and preview stock avatars in the content panel, and add the one you want to your scene. Please note, 2 avatars can be added per scene. Avatars can be searched using their names in the search partially or completely to bring up a result. For avatars that are frequently used, you can add them to Quick Access or Collections so you can easily find them later.

2. Select the avatar to add to your scene. Then select the Audio Settings icon to add a mic recording, text-to-speech, or an uploaded audio file to your avatar. Don’t forget to adjust the scene duration as needed to make sure your avatar footage is fit in the scene.

To edit the audio, select the same Audio Settings icon, then click on the Edit Dialog icon to make any adjustments. 

 

3. To replace an avatars, use the Replace icon to replace an avatar in a scene. Select the avatar on the stage, then click Replace. The content panel will open to allow you to select a new avatar. 

If you want to replace multiple avatars in the video at once, select the scenes and then select the avatars that you want to replace from the asset view.  The text to speech from the replaced avatar will be assigned to the one you replace with.
 

4.  Preview the video. Avatar footage in the video will be generated when you export the video. If the video has not been exported after changing any avatar text to speech, a placeholder avatar and preview watermark will appear.

Once the video has been generated for export, the lip sync will appear.

Create AI Avatars from the AI Avatar Page

Continue editing AI avatars created from the Avatar Page directly in the studio. 

1. Select your avatar by using the filters to search or select one from the list. Use the play button to see a preview of the avatar.

2. Select the look for your avatar, then click Use This Look.

3. Next, select a stock background, upload your own background, or make the background transparent. 

3. Add your script into the text box. 

4. Preview the text-to-speech dialog by pressing the preview button to the left of the voice menus. 

5. Change the voice and any available voice modifiers (Tone, Speed, Pitch) using menus to the right of the preview button. Clicking the voice selection button will open the Voice settings menu where language selection and accent can be adjusted. 

5. Click the Create Video button to generate the video. 

6. Once an AI avatar video has been generated, it will appear as a recent video in your video library and in your Uploads.

Create AI Avatars using Text-to-Video 

AI Avatars can also be selected from within the text-to-video layout options.

Click on the Create button from the homepage. A dropdown menu will pop-up with various options. Navigate and select Text-to-video. 

After selecting Text-to-Video, choose the Talking Head layout in the new window. Select your desired AI Avatar template and a specific character under Choose Avatar. Once you’ve entered your prompt and made your selections, click Generate. 

Once your video generates, find it on the video listing page and click the pencil icon, Edit Video to open it in the studio.

In the studio, you can edit the dialogue and voice or switch out the avatar. To edit the dialogue, click on the video on the Vyond stage; this will enable the dialogue icon in the top-right corner.

Click the dialog icon to open the dialog window. From there, you can edit the dialogue by clicking the pencil icon, which opens the audio settings pop-up. In this menu, you can modify the text or select a different voice.

Translations and Captions

Avatar videos created in Vyond Go and Vyond Studio can now be translated. Captions can be generated in Vyond Studio. 

Translations

Click the Translate/Edit Text icon from the top right of the asset properties panel.

Select Translations.

A window will appear where you can select the language and region. Once the language has been selected, click Translate to complete the translation.

Captions

For captions, click the Captions/Notes icon on the top of the asset properties panel. 

The panel will open where you can select Add Captions to choose the type of captions for the video. 

Edit Stock Avatars in Vyond Studio

Once the stock avatar has been generated from the avatar page, open it in studio to further edit things like the voice, text to speech, or apply animations. 

Extract audio from AI Avatars  

The Extract Audio function only works with mp4 video files. This feature can be used with the AI Avatars created from the AI Avatar Page. For steps on how to create an AI Avatar from the AI Avatar Page, please click here. 
 

Once you have generated your AI Avatar, open your video project. While the AI Avatar output appears in your video listing, you must add it to the stage from the Uploads panel to enable the audio extraction tool. If you right-click the video directly from your listing, the option will not be available. 

To enable the Extract Audio function, please follow the steps below. 

Go to the library and select Uploads.

The uploads panel will open up. Click on the Your Uploads button

There you’ll need to locate your AI Avatar video and add it to the timeline.

Once the video has been added. Go ahead and right-click on it and select Extract audio. 

Tips and Other Considerations

• Users can enter up to 3000 characters in the text box. If you need to use more than 3000 characters, you'll need to create another video, you can then combine the videos in Vyond Studio.
• Ensure testing your audio first with a character outside of the AI avatar creator to make sure the audio is correct before applying it to the AI avatar. 
• AI avatar videos may take anywhere from 1-5 minutes to generate, however times may vary.
